Your website, filmed.
Paste a URL. Portolan turns your live site into a launch film: a cinematic film shot on glass screens in a 3D studio, or a fast motion-graphics video built from your real interface. Both come scored with music. First preview within a day.
See the preview first. Pay from $99 only if you love it.
Two kinds of film
The film above is Cinematic: your site on glass in a lit studio, slow and premium. UI Motion is the other kind: your real buttons, cards and screens taken apart and animated, with kinetic type, a short story and cuts on the beat. The kind of video SaaS teams launch with.
UI Motion, dark
For dark interfaces and developer tools. Code types itself, metrics draw in.
UI Motion, light
For bright, friendly products. Clean cards, soft color, quick rhythm.
Samples made from the public websites of Resend and Cal.com to show the style. Not commissioned by, or affiliated with, either company.
How a film is made
Most product videos start with a screen recording and end with a week of editing. Portolan skips both. It works from the real thing: your site, rendered in a real browser, at exact scroll positions.
Capture
We open your site in a GPU-rendered browser and record every frame at precise scroll positions. Animations, hover states and WebGL scenes come through intact, with no dropped frames.
Stage
The recording is placed on glass screens in a 3D studio, lit and filmed with slow camera moves and shallow focus. Every shot is your actual interface. Nothing is stock.
Deliver
You receive a 16:9 film in 4K, a 9:16 cut for social and three stills, scored with original music. First preview within 24 hours, usually the same day.
Three studios for Cinematic
Pick the light your product should be seen in. Each style is a different room, camera and score. The interface on screen is always yours.

Studio White
Soft daylight, white cyclorama, quiet piano. The default.

Golden Hour
Late sun through tall windows, warm stone, long shadows.

Night
Blue dusk, one warm lamp, reflections on a dark floor.

What do you need from me?
A URL and an email address. If parts of your site sit behind a login, send a demo account or a staging link. We never need your production credentials.
Does it work with animations and WebGL?
Yes. We record in a real browser with GPU rendering, one frame at a time, so scroll animations, canvas scenes and 3D stay smooth. That is the main reason the films look like films and not like screen recordings.
Can I use my own music?
Yes. Send a track you have the rights to and we cut to it. Otherwise your film gets an original score that you can use commercially, with no extra licence.
What if I don't like the preview?
Then you don't pay. Tell us what to change, and we revise it once for free. If it still isn't right, we part ways with no charge.
How long does it take?
The first preview arrives within 24 hours. Most films are delivered the same working day.
Who owns the film?
You do. Use it on your site, in ads, on Product Hunt, in a pitch deck, anywhere, for as long as you like.
